Architecture Award, Small Project Architecture, Australian Institute of Architects, 2008
The Headland Park Amenities Block, Lower Georges Heights, Mosman, designed by Rick Leplastrier was awarded the Architecture Award this year. In presenting the award, the institute stated, “The amenities provide a delightful experience where people can sit and relax within the internal courtyard and seating alcoves while waiting for others... It is rare that a suburban toilet obtains such a sober civic quality”.

Commendation for Design in Landscape Architecture, Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, 2005
The Marine Biological Station Park in Watsons Bay won an award for landscape design and architecture that “enhances the experience and permeability of the harbour experience”.

Special Jury Award, RAIA (NSW), 2004
The Harbour Trust was awarded a Special Jury Award for Exemplary Management of Sydney Harbour Heritage Icons. In presenting the award, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects stated that the Harbour Trust’s work had been “dictated by a deep respect for the history and context of its sites, allowing a gradual evolution of solutions and providing a framework for decision making that includes extensive community consultation”.

President’s Award, Planning Institute of Australia, 2003
The President’s Award recognises a NSW significant project or person that makes an outstanding contribution to planning generally. The Harbour Trust received the award for the its comprehensive plan to return redundant Defence and other Commonwealth foreshore lands to the people.

Greenway award for Outstanding Conservation,Royal Institute of Architects (RAIA) NSW Chapter, 2003
The Harbour Trust received this award for its conservation and restoration works to the former Submarine Mining Depot at Chowder Bay.
