Students studying Stage 6 Geography can participate in a full-day program designed to meet outcomes in the Biophysical Interactions unit.

During this 5-hour program, students will work cooperatively in small groups of up to 12 students to complete a series of fieldwork experiments. Facilitated by experienced teachers, these experiments include basic orienteering, weather observations, plant and animal identification, soil sampling, mapping and sketching activities and observations of how humans interact with the environment.

Specifically-designed field work guides support the program, allowing students to use problem-solving and mapping skills to orient themselves around the site and to undertake fieldwork experiments at various stations set-up outdoors in the Sanctuary area. All equipment is provided.

Other programs can also be tailored to meet the specific needs of teachers and students.
