    The former Marine Biological Station at Camp Cove in Watsons Bay – historic site of the first scientific studies of Sydney’s marine environment - is now a private residence, open to the public only on special viewing days.

    The next Open Day is coming up on Sunday 29 October 2017.

    This FREE event gives you the rare opportunity to walk through the house and surrounding garden from 11am-3pm.

    Listen to one of the Harbour Trust’s dedicated volunteers talk about the history of this charming colonial cottage and its eminent first resident, Russian aristocrat, scientist and adventurer, Nikolai Miklouho-Maclay.

    Please note there is no parking available on site.

    Numbers are limited to a maximum of 20 people in the house at any one time.

    Harbour Trust volunteers will be in attendance to assist you.

    And while you’re in the neighbourhood, take the chance to visit the Macquarie Lightstation in Vaucluse, another Harbour Trust site opening its doors on Sunday 29 October. You can book a tour and climb to the top of the lighthouse for incredible views.
