Harbour Trust: Planning

Overview

The Sydney Harbour Federation Trust's Comprehensive Plan for the future of its lands on Sydney Harbour was approved by the Minister for Environment and Heritage in September 2003.

The Draft Plan was on exhibition from 2 November to 20 December 2002 and was revised following the receipt of submissions.

The Plan aims to weave these magnificent harbour lands back into the life of the city. Their cultural heritage will be conserved, the environment protected and maximum public access provided to the lands.

The Harbour Trust's team of highly skilled and well-respected architects, planners, urban designers and landscape designers is working with the broad Sydney community on implementation of the Plan.

Following approval from the Minister for Environment and Heritage, the Harbour Trust has up to 2033 to implement the plan and to transfer the lands to public ownership.
