Woolwich Dock and Parklands: Future Plans

Planning the Future

A Vision for the Future of Woolwich Dock and Parklands

The vision for Woolwich Dock is the creation of a maritime village, adapting existing facilities for maritime activities - boat building and repair on the hardstand area, boat storage, associated marine businesses, visiting and historic boats in the dock, charter boats and a new pontoon wharf.

A café/restaurant and community uses of buildings and facilities will add to the vitality of the site and contribute to the interpretation of its heritage.

The consolidation of fragmented park pockets will knit together Trust land, Clarkes Point Reserve and Kellys Bush at the meeting of the Parramatta and Lane Cove rivers.

A network of circuit paths, views and landscaping will integrate the industrial and parkland aspects of the site.

The Goat Paddock will become a park affording magnificent views of the harbour and special events. The Horse Paddock will become a place for passive recreation and community events.
