Opening hours and entry

Woolwich Dock and Parklands are open everyday. The Goat Paddock and Dock area are closed between sunrise to sunset.

Entry is free.

Getting there

Woolwich Dock is located on the Hunters Hill peninsula.

By car:

Access via Woolwich Road and Franki Ave.
Parking is available in the Merrington Place car park.

By ferry and bus:

The 538 Bus service connects with the ferry service from Valentia Street Wharf. For further information and timetables check the Transport Infoline Website.

By foot:

The walk from Valentia Street Wharf to Woolwich Dock takes approximately 20 minutes.

Visitor facilities

The Trust has recently completed a new jetty and pontoon at Woolwich Dock. The pontoon allows people to pick up and drop off passengers by boat.

A function centre and café on the waterfront at Woolwich Dock are also due to open in 2009.

Toilet facilities are located in the saw-tooth building at Woolwich Dock and in the Merrington Place car park.

Access

Woolwich Dock is wheelchair accessible if entered via Clarke Road. Follow the road from Clarkes Road down to the Dock. The Goat Paddock has steep inclines and stairs.

Emergency

In case of emergency dial 000 or via mobile 112 if out of range.

Security

Harbour Trust security patrol the park on a regular basis.

Visitor Code

We welcome visitors to Woolwich Dock and Parklands and invite you to wander through the parklands and dock. For the safety and enjoyment of all users, and to help protect plants and animals, please follow the Visitor Code:

- do not remove or disturb any soil, plants, wildflowers or rocks from bushland;
- do not feed native wildlife;
- no lighting of fires or portable BBQs;
- do not smoke along bush tracks;
- parking is restricted to designated carparks;
- no bicycles, skateboards, scooters on footpaths and bush tracks;
- no model aeroplanes or remote controlled toys;
- do not camp overnight;
- do not erect tents, marquees, or temporary shade structures without a permit;
- do not climb on walls, fortifications, cliffs or sculptures;
- no dumping of vegetation, soil or litter;
- take your rubbish with you; and
- respect our neighbours by not making excessive noise.
