Cockatoo Island’s Heritage Houses, apartments and Deluxe Waterfront campground will be open to the public from 2pm – 5pm Sunday 24 March for one day only, offering visitors a rare sneak peek and exclusive accommodation discounts to some Sydney’s distinctive heritage houses.
Cockatoo Island stands as the largest island in Sydney’s internationally renowned Harbour and for one day in autumn, the Harbour Trust opens the doors to the island’s very unique accommodation. Open Accommodation Day provides visitors an opportunity to explore the island, book a stay at discounted rates or enjoy a bit of history on one of three tours of our UNESCO World Heritage listed Convict Precinct.
Whether it is for a night or a week, Cockatoo Island has accommodation options and exciting activities to suit couples, families or large corporate groups, with housing sleeping up to 12 people and campground packages perfect for a relaxing getaway.
