Reviving extinct species: Eastern Pygmy Possum community translocated to North Head Sanctuary

We are proud to share that our partner, Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), have successfully relocated a dozen Eastern Pygmy Possums to North Head Sanctuary, Manly to protect locally extinct species.

The Harbour Trust has launched an exciting online exhibition in collaboration with oil pastel artist Nick Hollo. Hosted by Google Arts & Culture, the immersive, two-part experience – titled ‘Hollo’s Harbour Reflections’ – features our network of beloved destinations on Sydney Harbour in vibrant oil pastel.

On Tuesday (15 Nov), the Harbour Trust – in partnership with the Headland Preservation Group and Mosman RSL sub-Branch – held an intimate tree planting ceremony at Georges Heights, Mosman to honour the casualties of the Gallipoli campaign.

Macquarie Lightstation Lights Up to Celebrate World Maritime Day

On Thursday 29 September, the Harbour Trust in partnership with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), will illuminate Macquarie Lightstation to celebrate World Maritime Day. Macquarie Lightstation at Vaucluse in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs will join other buildings around the world in being lit up in blue and green.

Manly Rotary Fun Run & walk (4 Sept)

Taking place on Sunday 4 September (Father’s Day), the Manly Rotary Fun Run & Walk includes options for participants of varying abilities. There is a 2km course that leads people along Manly’s beachfront, a 5km course that zigs and zags around the broader suburb, and a 10km ‘Runners Challenge'.
