ANZAC Day Dawn Service (25 April)

The Mosman RSL sub branch will host a Dawn Service on ANZAC Day (25 April) at the Old Parade Ground, Best Avenue, Georges Heights.

Commencing at 5:30am, the service will include a Catafalque party, wreath laying and the Act of Remembrance. The ANZAC Commemorative Address will be given by Commander Kent Browning RAN (Commanding Officer of HMAS Penguin). Music will be provided by Redlands Concert Band.

Following the service, Frenchy’s Café, located in the Headland Park Artist Precinct, a short distance from the Old Parade Ground, will be open for breakfast and coffee.

Locals wishing to lay a wreath or tribute should notify the Master of Ceremonies ahead of the service.  

Access and parking arrow

It is recommended you allow extra travel time to find parking as traffic is expected to be heavy during this time. Parking will be offered at the carparks on Suakin Drive and Georges Heights Oval; however, in the event of wet weather, the oval will be closed. Other considerations arrow

Seating is limited to veterans who cannot stand. Wear suitable clothing as there is no shelter. A torch may also be useful. If wearing family or descendants medals (i.e. not your own), please note: they are worn on the RIGHT chest.
