Woolwich Wharf reopens on 30 September 2020

Woolwich Wharf will reopen to the public on Wednesday 30 September following the completion of major works to provide the local community with a modern, accessible ferry wharf.
Ferry services

F8 Cockatoo Island Ferry services will resume from 6.24am on Wednesday 30 September from Woolwich Wharf at Valentia Street.

Ferry services will no longer operate to the temporary wharf at Clarke Road. The temporary bus service, route 537, will also stop operating.

New infrastructure

The new Woolwich Wharf includes a floating pontoon connected to land by an uncovered gangway and entry bridge. The pontoon has a curved roof, seating and glass weather protection panels.

The land surrounding the wharf has also been upgraded to improve customer facilities and meet accessibility requirements. The waiting shelter and toilet have been refurbished and accessible paths to the wharf have been provided. The footpath has been raised and three accessible parking spaces have been realigned. Two kiss and ride parking spaces and new bicycle parking hoops near the wharf entry have also been provided.

Customers can visit transportnsw.info or call Transport Info on 131 500 for timetable and service information. If you have any questions, please contact the wharf upgrade project team on 1800 770 973 or email WharfUpgradeProgram@rms.nsw.gov.au
