Update: Harbour Trust Executive Director

Mary Darwell said, “It has been a privilege to lead this organisation, and I thank my passionate and skilled colleagues, our volunteers and the community for their hard work and commitment in creating great public spaces for today and future generations.”

“I’m proud of all that we have achieved as a team and to have steered the Harbour Trust through the recent Independent Review of the organisation. However, after nearly four years in the role and with the future direction of the Harbour Trust now assured, it is a good time for the organisation to transition to new leadership.”

Chair of the Harbour Trust, Joseph Carrozzi said, “Mary has brought energy, ambition and enthusiasm to our work, driving a period of transformation and growth.”

“Mary’s leadership and vision leaves a substantial legacy; the Harbour Trust will now be an ongoing entity, protecting Sydney’s iconic sites in perpetuity. Additionally, she has been instrumental in receiving support of significant new investment from the Australian Government.”
