Walk along the coastal trail at Chowder Bay, keeping an eye out for seasonal wildlife like penguins, seals and whales.
One of Chowder Bay's Kookaburras has been granted the ability to answer your burning visitor questions! Keep an eye out for the bright blue kookaburra signs to kickstart a conversation.
Head to Clifton Gardens Reserve for a snorkel or swim. Prefer to keep your head above water? You can kayak or paddle board along the scenic foreshore by renting equipment from Land Edge Foundation's Saltwater School.
Feeling peckish? Stop by Cafe La Mer for a bite or enjoy a picnic at Clifton Gardens Reserve, which offers lawns, a shaded playground, sheltered seating and barbeques.

As you weave along a stunning route from Middle Head, you’ll spot multiple harbour lookouts – a guaranteed feast for your eyes. Continue along the coastal track to Chowder Bay via scenic Georges Head Lookout. Your adventure will culminate at Clifton Gardens – an ideal place to soak in the sun and take a dip. Want to stretch yourself? Continue past Clifton Gardens to Bradley’s Head. Want to head back? Loop back to Georges Heights, via Bungaree Walkway, and follow the coast back to Middle Head.
Hot tip: Make this a loop walk and start your trip at Georges Heights to enjoy free all-day parking!
