Wirra Birra Park at Sub Base Platypus in North Sydney set to open this Easter

Following the opening of the rejuvenated Torpedo Factory Precinct at Sub Base Platypus, North Sydney, the Harbor Trust is proud to unveil Wirra Birra Park, which will be open to the public from Good Friday, 29 March 2024.

On 15 January 2024, vandalism which involved the illegal removal of trees occurred on Harbour Trust land at the Goat Paddock in Woolwich.

North Head Sanctuary Master Plan finalised

The North Head Sanctuary Master Plan was finalised to incorporate the feedback received from the public consultation and endorsed by the Members of the Trust at their 14 February 2024 meeting. The North Head Sanctuary Master Plan has now been published on the Harbour Trust website.

The Department of Finance is inviting public comment until 22 March 2024 on a draft Heritage Management Plan for Snapper Island, in accordance with section 341S of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

Updated: Historic wall repaired at North Head Sanctuary

The Harbour Trust is carefully restoring a stone wall at North Head Sanctuary, Manly that partially collapsed due to an extreme weather event in March 2022. Unprecedented rain during this event led to a rapid build-up of water at the base of the wall, undermining its foundations.

Endangered Sunshine Wattles find new home at Headland Park, Mosman

Over the next month, approximately 500 tubestock-sized Sunshine Wattles (Acacia terminalis subspecies Eastern Sydney) will be planted adjacent to bush tracks and revegetated areas at Headland Park, Mosman.
