Ms Carding joins the Harbour Trust from the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG), a leading natural, cultural and heritage organisation. During her tenure at TMAG, she led the development and successful implementation of a five-year strategic plan. She also supported the strengthening of the relationship between TMAG and Tasmania’s First Peoples.
Ms Carding brings with her three decades of experience in museums, along with a well-established reputation for working with heritage properties. She was formerly Director and CEO of the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, as well as Assistant Director of Public Programs & Operations at the Australian Museum in Sydney.
“I am delighted to be joining the Harbour Trust at this important moment in its history," Ms Carding said.
“As we celebrate our 20th anniversary and shift the organisation to its new status as a permanent entity, I am proud to be joining an organisation that is so committed to protecting Australia’s shared legacy through our sites, and telling their stories.”
