Harbour Trust Celebrates NAIDOC Week (2 to 9 July)

The Harbour Trust is proud to announce its commitment to celebrating NAIDOC Week (2 to 9 July 2023) and highlighting its partnerships with First Nations organisations. Through these collaborations, the Harbour Trust aims to promote awareness for First Nations culture.

See a WWII era torpedo at Cockatoo Island (media release)

For a limited time only, visitors to the Industrial Precinct can marvel at a WWII era submarine torpedo. The decommissioned Mark VIII torpedo was today transferred to Cockatoo Island from Spectacle Island’s military base. The Harbour Trust will eventually relocate the torpedo to Sub Base Platypus, its community recreation and work hub in North Sydney.

After a highly successful debut season, last year, Night at The Barracks is returning to North Head Sanctuary, Manly for 9 spectacular open-air concerts. Between 15 September and 8 October 2023, music enthusiasts will get to enjoy live performance by some of the biggest names in Australian music under the stars, in an iconic location.

First Nations artist commissioned for the Torpedo Factory Renewal Project (media release)

The Harbour Trust is pleased to announce that Dennis Golding has been commissioned to create three artworks at Sub Base Platypus in North Sydney on Cammeraygal Country. The new artworks will recognise and celebrate Country and culture as part of the Torpedo Factory Renewal project at the site.
