Chowder Bay
If you – or someone you know – are willing to being interviewed by one of our volunteer archivists, please email our Volunteer Manager (volunteers@harbourtrust.gov.au) for more information. Interviews are approximately one hour long and are conducted at the Harbour Trust head office in Mosman or at Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.
Were you stationed at the military bases at North Head, Manly or Georges Heights, Mosman? Did you work on vessels at Cockatoo Island’s shipyard, serve at HMAS Platypus or attend ASOPA in Middle Head? Did you contribute to the operation of Macquarie Lightstation or repair ships at Woolwich Dock? Whatever the case, we look forward to hearing from you!
'In Conversation' video series
As part of the Harbour Trust's ongoing Oral History Project, volunteers interview people and gather spoken stories that vividly bring to life the history of our heritage sites. In late 2020, we created In Conversation, a video series that marries archival imagery with audio recorded for our Oral History Project. We hope you enjoy the four instalments we produced.
