Waifs drew a huge crowd to the Turbine HallThe inaugural Cockatoo Island Festival - held over the Easter Long Weekend - was a huge success with over 20,000 people enjoying the music and arts entertainment on offer.
And the climax of all this hard work? A Festival like no other... The Musical ActsOver 120 musical acts performed at the Festival, including Pete Murray, Gomez, The Waifs, Machine Gun Fellatio, The Wailers, Deborah Conway, Cubanismo! and many many more.
The Arts and EntertainmentThe Festival featured a nightclub in a tunnel, 2 cinemas, a cabaret room, a Writers' Festival event, photographic and art exhibitions, a new media gallery, a record & collectables fair, childrens entertainment, bars, restaurants, cafés and not to mention the harbourside camping!
