The Harbour Trust is inviting Expressions of Interest from professional operators for a new leasing opportunity at North Head Sanctuary. Representing a total net lettable area of approximately 1,040m², Building 17 is a meticulously refurbished former army gymnasium that pairs modern amenities with historical charm. Applications must be submitted electronically by 5pm (AEDT) on 09 September 2024.

Historic Retort House at Sub Base Platypus undertakes essential heritage repairs

The Harbour Trust is undertaking vital repair works on the historic Retort House located at Sub Base Platypus in North Sydney. This significant project, which began in March 2024 and is scheduled for completion by the end of August 2024, focuses on preserving the building's fabric and ensuring its longevity for future use.

Seahorse hotels installed at Cockatoo Island / Wareamah

Last week, the Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) with the help of Gamay Rangers, successfully installed 20 seahorse hotels on the Eastern Apron of Cockatoo Island / Wareamah.

Cockatoo Island / Wareamah Master Plan and Sub Base Platypus celebrated for landscape architecture

The Cockatoo Island / Wareamah Master Plan and Sub Base Platypus Torpedo Factory, North Sydney have each won a cultural heritage category state award for landscape architecture. This award recognises the great work by the Harbour Trust and our consultants of the diverse range of projects undertaken to protect and manage its extraordinary harbourside destinations.
